Knowing your infinite ability to bend with life,

you can "snuggle in with it sweetly," as it were.

Dear friends on this path,

Thank you for your curiosity about how I walk this path.

I am taking this opportunity to respond to you,

letting myself be inspired by how life,

accepted on its own terms, is unfolding.

In answer to your questions, I would first of all like to say what this work means to me.  To me, it means “becoming a path finder” because it has helped me find my own path.  I will now write how.

I started the training with a desire to learn about gaining internal peace.  For Helper training, in particular, my prayer was about learning how to walk my path and how to live through the sufferings that life on this earth plane offers us.  I thought that accepting what is, is a way to be one with reality, which is to gain internal peace.  But I did not then know how to do this.

During my training, I knew, as the Guide teaches us that

“he who wants to live, must be able to lose his life.”

In order to experience what I desired and prayed for,

I had to get lost.  Only then might I find something.

I was not sure if I would ever find what I needed to find,

but it was very clear to me that I am the only one who

could give me what I want. Certainly no one else,

no programs or organizations, could.

I decided to let myself struggle and get lost as human beings do.  I gradually found a way that for me was “the right middle path.”  This has led me to understand the Guide teaching, “the human state of development is an in-between state.”  To me, this means The 50-50 Work and consciousness.

This way of getting lost has led me back to finding what I desired and prayed for. It can be described with this Guide passage: “When you can lose gracefully, you will find a treasure within that is an entirely new venture, a new way of life, whose beginning stages you are just embarking on.”

This is what I believe this training and the Helper training helped me to find: a way of finding out what becoming a “perfectly imperfect human” means. Again, to me this means 50-50 consciousness, and it is my focus. You are becoming a creator of your own life. It might take some time, but as the Guide says, "Continue your path!" "According to the great clock of eternal 'time,' it is but a minute, a second."

Here, I would like to conclude with one of my favorite Guide teachings, “Your own possibilities become a new playground for living. Knowing your infinite ability to bend with life, you can ‘snuggle in with it sweetly,’ as it were.”

Wishing you all the best in finding your own path.

Biographic Narratives:

Hiroko first encountered Pathwork® Guide materials in 1995, but she needed another twelve years to prepare herself for her key to understanding the vast richness of these materials at the deepest level.   Having had a great many beautiful struggles, as human beings always do, it was in the winter of 2007 that this key arrived in the form of Moira and Bert’s teachings, The 50/50 Work©.  She instantly fell in love in with it.

The golden rule of The 50/50 Work© is always “Want, Work and Wait”.  WWW has characterized a number of stages in her relationship to 50/50 Work.  She was prepared for this encounter – she was able to open herself to it – because she had, without knowing it, followed the golden rule of Want, Work and Wait.  Her life focus since then has been on embodying spiritual reality on this earth plane -- in other words, on becoming "utterly and merely" human.  On this journey, one of her most cherished guiding principles on her path has been The Guide teaching, “You must use what you already have to the fullest, but you must not use more than what you have.”

Hiroko was born 1961, in Aomori, Japan, and now lives in Virginia, U.S.A. with her beloved husband, David Steinberg, an art historian who inspires her creativity at the deepest level.  Her love and joy express themselves fully in her daily relationship with him, family and friends.
